Do Contacts

Do Contacts provides you with a new, social way of working with your contacts!

With Do Contacts, you can now:  
  • Add contacts to tasks
  • Share contacts
  • Associate contacts with projects and deals, and work towards completion
  • View the full history of a contact with the Do activity feed
     

Getting Started with Do Contacts

  1. Login to Do from your computer or tablet
  2. Select “Contacts” from the left navigation menu
  3. Select the green “Create” button from the top right corner
  4. Fill out the name and contact information in the “About” tab for the contact
  5. Select the “Activity” tab, and under the “Related Tasks” section, create a task. Doing so will automatically attach that particular contact to the task you just created.
     

Working with your Social Contacts

From Do Contacts, you can quickly view your connections from Facebook and Google and get work done around them.

To view and import your contacts, select the "Upload Contacts" button with the cloud icon at the bottom of the contacts menu. In the top of the Contacts viewer, you will see the option to connect with Facebook and Google.  Importing a contact file is also possible by selecting the “Import File” tab.

Once you have connected with your selected social networks, you can quickly sync all your contacts with one click of the "Sync" button. Synced contacts are visible to only you until they have been selected to be imported. Once you have selected the contacts you would like to import, select the “Import Selected” button.
 

Tagging Contacts

Tags can be added to each individual contact. Tags are visible to all group members, and can be used to search for contacts when attaching a contact to a task or when searching within the Contacts interface.
 

Contact Lists

Contact lists give you an easy way to organize your contacts. To create a contact list, select the List icon at the bottom left of the Contacts navigation menu. After entering in a name for your list, simply drag and drop your contacts into the newly created list.
 

Attaching a Contact

Contacts can be attached to a project, a task, or a deal. Contacts can be searched by name or by tag. To learn more about tags, please see above.

You can also view which tasks a contact has been attached to by navigating to the contact, and looking at the “Related Tasks” section.
 

Frequently Asked Questions
 

Who can see my imported contacts?

Only group members can see contacts you’ve imported. Synced contacts that have not yet been imported are only visible to you.
 

How do I delete a contact?

To delete a contact, navigate to the contact that you wish to delete, then select the gear icon the upper right hand corner to reveal the “Delete Contact” in the drop down menu.
 

How do I upload my contacts from a CSV file?

A CSV file containing your contacts can be uploaded through the same upload interface that you use connect with your social contacts. Select the "Import File" tab, and choose the CSV file you'd like to upload. For more information on CSV formatting, please see this Help article.
