Troubleshooting for Google Apps

If you are experiencing issues accessing your Google Apps with Do, your Google Apps domain account may not be provisioned to allow you to log in to third party web sites using Single Sign-On (SSO) via OpenID. This can affect the functionality of Do features including your ability to log in to your Do account through Google Apps and the functioning of the Do Gmail Gadget.

Allowing Third Party Cookies and Site Data

If you are currently using Chrome as your browser and experiencing difficulty accessing your Do account from your Google Account, please check to see that your browser settings have been set to block third party cookies and site data.

1. Navigate to your Chrome Preferences menu (Chrome > Preferences)

2. Select "Settings" from the left navigation menu

3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and opt to show advanced settings

4. Under the Privacy section, select the "Content settings" button

5. If the checkbox for blocking third-party cookies and site data is checked, un-check it and then try logging in again.

Allowing OpenID on Google Apps

Note: Free Google Apps domains have this option turned on by default, so this article only applies to premier Google Apps domains

You can setup your Google Apps domain by following these steps. Only the Google Apps domain administrator can access these settings:

1.  Log in to your Google Apps control panel (dashboard) as the domain administrator

2.  In the blue menu bar, click on "Advanced tools" tab

3.  Under "Authentication", click "Federated Login using OpenID"

4.  Make sure the check box labeled "Allow users to sign in to third party websites using OpenID" is checked

5.  Click "Save changes"

Granting Permissions to Do

Occasionally, linking Do accounts to Google Apps accounts may fail even if SSO is turned on.  If this occurs, often times Google Apps has been set up so that Do is not granted full data access. Follow these steps to grant access:

1.  Log in to your Google Apps control panel (dashboard) as the domain administrator

2.  Make sure the "Dashboard" tab in the blue menu bar is selected.

3.  Scroll down to the Your Marketplace apps section, and select the Settings link for the Do app

4. Under "Data Access" make sure data access is granted.

Enabling Do for your Google Apps Organization

1.  Log in to your Google Apps control panel (dashboard) as the domain administrator

2.  In the blue menu bar, click on "Organization & users" tab

3. Under "Marketplace Services," make sure that the switch for Do is "On" (will be green).

4. Save any changes you may have made on this page
